Christmas @ Borski's Way

Finding a perfect time to get together gets harder as we grow older and everyone's schedules grow more complicated. We must have looked at 4 different times and dates this year but settled on Dec 22nd (Tylor's birthday as well). It will be the last time for the Borski house. Here are some pictures from the evening although I cannot believe I have none of Carl, Lori and kids although I think we have Alyssa's head in one of them. They were all there as well.

Pierce XMas Party 2008

The Pierce XMas Party was held on Dec. 20th at John Jr.'s house this year. Tylor, Kristin, Sarah, Bruce, the grand kids and I headed out and got there easily following the GPS directions. Sarah and I had picked Bruce up at the airport as he headed home from Mobile. The Mall was packed as we finished our Christmas shopping. It was certainly fun to see everyone. Wyatt and Dakota love playing with the little boys and John's dog, Molly, was great with all the people and excitement. The present swap went well with Cody's girlfriend getting the #1 position. John Sr. and Sheila got matching presents- ha ha. Here are some pictures.

Thanksgiving was at my house. Carl didn't make it until everyone had left. He was out on call from the outage. Here are some pictures.

Kristin's 22nd Birthday

It doesn't seem possible that 22 years ago I gave birth to a beautiful 8 pound+ baby girl. What a fantastic journey began that evening and early morning (arrival time 2:30 am), a journey through school, sports, jobs, Tyler, college, grandkids, apartment, and house buying. An amazing daughter. I wish I had more photos to put in this blog post but I will add the latest, from her home where Bruce and I visited last night to wish her a very happy birthday. She was headed to dinner with Tyler in Portland.

Sarah's Quilt

After years of playing in basketball events and receiving t-shirt after t-shirt, Sarah saved them and begged her mother to make a quilt. It has taken awhile but is finally finished. The squares were cut this summer (30 in all), in between strip color purchased this September, front stitched this October, and final back to front stitching completed November 2nd. Hurray!!!!!!! Now I will need to complete one for Kristin...a Christmas break project.

Halloween 2008

The kids came over to Nan's house first and then we headed out to the parade starting at the middle school. They did great walking and Sage got a ride in the stroller with Grampy pushing. While Wyatt (a Ninja Turtle) and Dakota (a she Devil) went to do more trick or treating, Sage (a Princess) came to Nan's house and fell asleep.

GrandKids Oct 25th

Bruce and I picked up the grandkids to watch the boys soccer playoff game. They had a great time playing with another little boy named Logan. They kicked a soccer ball and Wyatt had his football with him. Wyatt wanted the green team to win which was not the home team. The green team eventually did win 2-0. We then came back to Nan's to put puzzles together.

Storyland Summer 08

Bruce and I were able to take the grandkids, Wyatt and Dakota, to Storyland in New Hampshire. We had a great day until it started to rain, but by then we were almost ready to leave. Wyatt loved ALL the rides, but Dakota was scared of the faster rides and so Nan and Dakota watched Grampy and Wyatt ride those. We can't wait for next year!

Mobile

Bruce has been working at Austal Shipyard in Mobile, Alabama. He started in May and goes back and forth for approximately 3 week units. This last time he was down for 5 weeks and so I was able to visit him during Columbus Day weekend. These are pictures of Austal, Gulf Shores (where we went to Shrimp Fest), and the USS Alabama.
